NeoGoat Format uses a curated retro card pool inspired by early Yu-Gi-Oh! eras.
The format is based primarily on OCG cards released before Cybernetic Revolution (2005), combined with modern rulings and errata.
The purpose of the NeoGoat card pool is to preserve the strategic depth of early Yu-Gi-Oh! while expanding deck diversity through carefully selected additional cards.

Extra Pool Explanation
The NeoGoat Format uses a rotating Extra Pool.
The Extra Pool introduces selected cards from later sets to refresh the metagame and encourage new strategies without significantly altering the core identity of the format.
The Extra Pool is intentionally kept small and controlled, and never exceeds 90 cards.
Extra Pool cards may change periodically depending on:
• tournament results
• deck diversity
• community feedback

The NeoGoat card pool is designed to:
• preserve the strategic feel of early Yu-Gi-Oh!
• expand the number of playable archetypes
• encourage creative deckbuilding
• maintain a balanced and diverse metagame
Updates to the card pool usually occur alongside banlist updates.
