NeoGoat October 2026 - 4 Loaner Decks

October is here, and we have four loaner decks ready for the new NeoGoat banlist! This time, we have two different takes on Zombies after Pyramid Turtle's ban, a Dragon list built around Horus and Future Fusion, and a familiar Harpie deck returning for the new format.

Each deck comes with a 40-card Main Deck and a 15-card Side Deck. Below you'll find the deck images, a look at how each list plays, and links to open them in the Deck Library.

1. Zombie Midrange

Main: 40  |  Extra: 0  |  Side: 15

Pyramid Turtle is gone, so Gozuki has some work to do. This build uses it to put Zombies in the Graveyard for Book of Life, with Ryu Kokki and Vampire Lord handling the bigger attacks. Once the Graveyards are set up, you can make the opponent deal with a monster, bring it back, and keep attacking.

Goblin Zombie helps keep another monster in hand and can search Gozuki. It also works nicely with Creature Swap: give it to the opponent, destroy it in battle, and get your search when it reaches your Graveyard. Book of Moon and the removal lineup help you make those attacks count while the revival cards give you something to follow up with.

Main: 40  |  Extra: 0  |  Side: 15

This version starts with a familiar play: Unexpected Dai for Insect Knight. That's a 1900 ATK monster on the field with your Normal Summon still available. You can follow it with Gozuki, add another attacker, or Tribute it for Jinzo or Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch.

The Insect Knight can stay and fight, too. Shrink and Rush Recklessly help it get through bigger monsters, while Breaker, Exiled Force and Kycoo give the deck different ways to deal with the opponent's field. Gozuki and the two copies of Book of Life keep the Zombie follow-up available after those first attackers are gone.

3. Dragon Future

Main: 40  |  Extra: 3  |  Side: 15

If you want a bigger finish, this list has three Five-Headed Dragons waiting in the Extra Deck. Masked Dragon keeps the smaller Dragons coming, Exploder Dragon can trade with an opposing threat, and Totem Dragon helps with the Tribute Summons. The Horus line also gives you a route into LV8 and its Spell negation.

Future Fusion gives the deck another way to prepare its Fusion plays. NeoGoat uses its modern text: materials go to the Graveyard during your first Standby Phase after activation, and the Fusion Summon happens during your second. Getting those five Dragons into the Graveyard also sets up Dragon's Mirror, so the opponent has another Five-Headed Dragon to worry about.

There is also Dimension Fusion for a later push with banished Dragons. It can bring back the opponent's monsters too, so take a look at both players' banished cards before committing to that play.

4. Harpie's Fragrance

Main: 40  |  Extra: 0  |  Side: 15

Harpie's Fragrance returns with the same 40-card Main Deck as the August loaner. It already played two Harpie Oracle and two Unexpected Dai, so October's new limits didn't require any changes there. The Side Deck gets a small update: Soul Taker and D.D. Warrior Lady take the two Mobius slots.

The main interaction is still a good reason to play the deck. Anti-Spell Fragrance makes both players Set their Spells and wait until their next turn to use them. That gives Harpies' Hunting Ground time to remove the opponent's waiting Spells when you summon a Harpie Lady or Harpie Lady Sisters.

Harpie Queen finds Hunting Ground, Elegant Egotist adds another monster, and Hysteric Party brings the Harpies back for another round of attacks. If you enjoyed the August version, the same plays are still here.

NeoGoat at Cartoncito Cards: September 29 Tournament

On September 29, 2026, we had 8 players at Cartoncito Cards for 3 rounds of NeoGoat. This was a transition tournament: players could use either the August 2026 banlist or the October 2026 banlist. That gave us a chance to see decks from both lists play against each other.

Round 1: Monarch vs. Rock

Our first match was Monarch using the October banlist against Rock using the August banlist.

The Rock deck had a PACMAN-style plan, using monsters like Golem Sentry and Medusa Worm to keep removing opposing monsters. But it could hit hard too! Giant Rat brought out Enraged Muka Muka, which kept reaching around 2400–2800 ATK and dealing heavy damage.

The last duel had a really cool finish. The Rock player cleared the Monarch player's monsters, but there was still one face-down Spell or Trap to worry about.

The Rock player took the risk and summoned Megarock Dragon, banishing 4 Rock monsters from the Graveyard. That gave it 2800 ATK, and its attack went through for exactly enough damage to win the duel and the match!

Winner: Rock — August 2026 banlist.

Match 2: Dino Zombie vs. Good Stuff

Next was Dino Zombie using the August banlist against Good Stuff using the October banlist. Dino Zombie took the match, giving the August list another win in the matches covered here.

Winner: Dino Zombie — August 2026 banlist.

Final Match: Pandemonium Archfiend vs. Monarch

The final match featured Pandemonium Archfiend using the October banlist against an unexpected Monarch deck using the August banlist.

The Archfiend deck brought Mist Archfiend, a new option for October, and also played Card Destruction. The match went to three duels, with Archfiends taking it 2–1.

Winner: Pandemonium Archfiend, 2–1 — October 2026 banlist.

A Ruling to Clear Up

There was a mistake with Archfiend of Gilfer and Pandemonium. The Archfiend player used Foolish Burial to send Gilfer to the Graveyard, then used Gilfer's effect to equip it to an opponent's monster.

When that monster was destroyed by battle, the equipped Gilfer was also destroyed. The player then used Pandemonium to search for another Archfiend, thinking that Gilfer counted because it had not been destroyed by battle.

The key detail is that Gilfer counts as an Equip Spell while equipped. Pandemonium needs an Archfiend monster to be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard outside of battle. Since Gilfer was an Equip Spell when destroyed, Pandemonium could not search in this situation.

The ruling was not checked by a judge at the time, so the search went through during the match. From the next duel onward, the correct ruling will apply: an equipped Gilfer being destroyed does not give a search with Pandemonium.
