Neo Goat Pro - Another Tournament

Gaona claimed the tournament with Monarch Hydro Banisher, a tempo-focused deck that combines the pressure of Hydrogeddon and Banisher of the Radiance with the removal and hand disruption provided by the Monarchs. The supplied replays document Gaona's duels against Jinzo, Orangebreaker, and Palacios on the road to the championship.

Watch All Six Duels

The full video contains all six tournament duels in chronological order: Jinzo vs. Gaona, Orangebreaker vs. Gaona, and the final between Palacios and Gaona.

Watch the complete tournament video on YouTube

Match 1: Jinzo vs. Gaona

Game 1 — Jinzo wins on Turn 9

Jinzo took the opening duel with a steady stream of battle damage. Banisher of the Radiance and Spirit Reaper established the early advantage on Turn 3, and the monster Jinzo then became the main finisher. Its direct attacks on Turns 5 and 7 pushed Gaona down to 2,000 LP. After paying 800 LP for a play on Turn 9, Jinzo attacked directly once more to end the game.

Final LP: Jinzo 6,200 — Gaona 0.

Game 2 — Gaona wins by surrender on Turn 12

Gaona answered with a more aggressive Monarch plan. Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch defeated Gigantes in battle, while Banisher of the Radiance added direct damage and restricted graveyard interaction. Later, Hydrogeddon cleared Yellow Gadget and Green Gadget in successive battle phases. With Jinzo reduced to 1,300 LP and Gaona still at 2,500, Jinzo surrendered on Turn 12.

LP at surrender: Jinzo 1,300 — Gaona 2,500.

Replay note: the two supplied files show the players tied at one game each. A deciding game, if one was played, was not included with the replays.

Match 2: Orangebreaker vs. Gaona

Game 1 — Gaona wins on Turn 9

Orangebreaker opened with a Dinosaur strategy built around Jurassic World and Hydrogeddon, but Gaona immediately punished the first attack: Hydrogeddon ran into Gravekeeper's Spy and Orangebreaker took 100 battle damage. On the following turn, Gravekeeper's Spy and D.D. Warrior Lady attacked directly for a combined 2,700 damage.

Tribe-Infecting Virus then became the central threat. It connected directly on Turns 5 and 7 before delivering the final 1,600 damage on Turn 9.

Final LP: Gaona 4,800 — Orangebreaker 0.

Game 2 — Gaona wins on Turn 22

The second duel developed into a much longer resource battle. Gaona's Hydrogeddon won an early mirror battle and converted it into additional field presence, but Orangebreaker answered with a 2,200-point direct attack from Sabersaurus. The duel then slowed considerably as both players traded monsters and removal.

Gaona's sided Gilasaurus broke through for 1,700 damage on Turn 10. Jinzo eventually decided the game, attacking directly for 2,400 on Turn 20 and repeating the attack on Turn 22 for lethal damage.

Final LP: Orangebreaker 0 — Gaona 4,200.

Side Deck changes before Game 2:
  • Gaona sided in: 2 Gilasaurus.
  • Gaona sided out: 1 Banisher of the Radiance and 1 Gravekeeper's Spy.
  • Orangebreaker: no Main Deck changes.

Recorded result: Gaona wins 2–0.

Final: Palacios vs. Gaona

Game 1 — Gaona wins on Turn 23

The first game of the final was a long control duel. Hydrogeddon gave Gaona the first major life-point advantage with direct attacks on Turns 7 and 9. Asura Priest continued the pressure, landing two more direct attacks and reducing Palacios to 1,400 LP by Turn 15.

Palacios prolonged the duel with Spirit Reaper, Sheep Tokens, and Thousand-Eyes Restrict, but Gaona kept removing each defensive layer. Tribe-Infecting Virus finally found a clear attack on Turn 23 and dealt the last 1,600 damage.

Final LP: Gaona 7,100 — Palacios 0.

Game 2 — Gaona wins by surrender on Turn 24

Palacios struck first with D.D. Warrior Lady, but Gaona quickly turned the duel around. Mobius the Frost Monarch attacked directly for 2,400, followed by an 1,800-point direct attack from Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer. By Turn 12, Palacios had been reduced to only 100 LP.

Palacios survived for several more turns, but Gaona retained control through Tribe-Infecting Virus and a succession of Monarchs, including Mobius, Thestalos, and Zaborg. Unable to build a path back into the game, Palacios surrendered on Turn 24.

LP at surrender: Palacios 100 — Gaona 2,500.

Side Deck changes before Game 2:
  • Gaona sided in: 2 Gilasaurus.
  • Gaona sided out: 2 Shrink.
  • Palacios sided in: 1 D.D. Assailant, 2 Dust Tornado, 1 Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, 1 Lightning Vortex, and 1 Sakuretsu Armor.
  • Palacios sided out: 1 Book of Moon, 2 Gravekeeper's Spy, 1 Mystic Swordsman LV2, 1 Nobleman of Crossout, and 1 Pulling the Rug.

Final result: Gaona wins 2–0 and becomes the tournament champion.

Why Monarch Hydro Banisher Won

Gaona's deck was able to change roles from game to game. Hydrogeddon punished smaller monsters and created immediate momentum; Banisher of the Radiance disrupted graveyard-based plans; and the Monarchs converted established monsters into high-impact removal and pressure. After siding, Gilasaurus added speed whenever a faster clock was more valuable than additional defensive cards.

The final also demonstrated the deck's staying power. Gaona could win quickly with direct attacks, but the same list remained effective through 20-turn control games. That flexibility carried Monarch Hydro Banisher through the tournament and earned Gaona the championship.

NeoGoat Pro Weekend Tournament: Beast Wins a Goat Grand Prix Monterrey Entry

NeoGoat Pro Weekend Tournament

Beast Claims a Goat Grand Prix Monterrey Entry

This past weekend, NeoGoat Pro hosted another online tournament featuring four recorded matches, several different deck styles, and a special prize for the eventual champion.

🏆 Special Prize: The tournament winner received a free entry to the Goat Grand Prix taking place in Monterrey this October.

With more than an ordinary tournament victory on the line, the event brought together strategies ranging from Paladin and Chaos decks to Gadgets, Warriors, and the aggressive Beast list that eventually captured the championship.

The recorded matches also offered another look at NeoGoat Pro as a platform for organized online competition. Players were able to complete their matches through the official client while viewers could follow the most important games of the tournament.

Featured Match Results

Match 1

Paladin Dark & White vs Good Stuff

Good Stuff Wins

The first featured match presented two very different approaches to NeoGoat. Paladin Dark & White brought a more thematic strategy centered around powerful Dragon monsters, while Good Stuff relied on individually efficient cards and a flexible collection of answers.

When the match was over, the versatility of Good Stuff had secured the first recorded victory of the weekend.

Match 2

Gadgets vs Gadget Monarch

Gadget Monarch Wins

Match 2 was a resource-oriented battle between two Gadget strategies. The regular Gadget deck focused on maintaining card advantage through its familiar search chain, while Gadget Monarch added Tribute Summons and larger threats to the same general engine.

It was the Gadget Monarch variant that emerged from the match with the win, demonstrating the additional finishing power that Monarchs can bring to the Gadget package.

Match 3

Beast vs Warrior

Beast Wins

The future champion entered the featured matches against Warrior. The Beast deck combined large attackers such as Mad Dog of Darkness and Berserk Gorilla with Hydrogeddon, King Tiger Wanghu, Nimble Momonga, and a substantial removal package.

Warrior had access to the dependable monsters and battle tools that have made it one of NeoGoat's most established strategies, but Beast successfully advanced to the final.

Final

Beast vs Chaos

Beast Wins

The final placed the aggressive Beast strategy against Chaos, one of the most explosive styles available in the format. Chaos offered powerful momentum swings and dangerous late-game threats, while Beast continued to apply pressure through efficient attackers, removal, and battle manipulation.

Beast completed its tournament run with another victory, earning the championship and the free entry to the Goat Grand Prix in Monterrey.

The Winning Beast Deck

Winning Beast deck from the NeoGoat Pro weekend tournament
The Beast deck that won the tournament and secured the Grand Prix entry.

The champion used an unconventional 48-card Beast list built to place immediate pressure on the field. Rather than relying on a single combo, the deck could win through raw attack power, battle-based advantage, removal, or disruptive cards such as King Tiger Wanghu and Royal Decree.

Fast Offensive Pressure Mad Dog of Darkness, Berserk Gorilla, Hydrogeddon, and Unexpected Dai gave the deck several ways to establish attackers quickly.
```
Battlefield Control Triple Smashing Ground, Book of Moon, Shrink, and Creature Swap helped the deck clear opposing monsters and control combat.
Multiple Engines Nimble Momonga, Giant Rat, Green Baboon, Bazoo, and The Rock Spirit gave the list additional lines beyond ordinary Beastdown pressure.
Back-Row Disruption Three copies of Royal Decree could force opponents to play without their Trap Cards, while the Side Deck offered answers for several different matchups.
Another Step Forward for NeoGoat Pro
This tournament showed the variety that continues to develop inside NeoGoat. Seven recognizable strategies appeared across the four featured matches, and the championship was ultimately won by a deck that combined classic Beastdown ideas with several unusual card choices.
Most importantly, the event gave online players a direct connection to a major in-person tournament. The champion will now be able to compete in the Goat Grand Prix in Monterrey this October without paying the tournament entry fee.
Congratulations to the tournament champion!
Four Loaner Decks for the August 2026 NeoGoat Format
The August 2026 NeoGoat format introduces a new selection of loaner decks designed to help players begin testing immediately without having to build a deck from zero.
This lineup includes four very different strategies: an explosive Union Machine deck, an aggressive WATER deck built around Brain Control and Fog King, a Harpie strategy that punishes Spell-heavy opponents, and a classic Elemental HERO Fusion toolbox.
Choose your loaner deck:
⚙️ Chaos Union Machine — combo and explosive finishing turns
🌊 Brain Fog — WATER aggression and monster control
ðŸŠķ Harpies Fragrance — swarming and back-row destruction
ðŸĶļ HERO Fusion Decree — Fusion toolbox and offensive pressure
Loaner Deck 1
⚙️ Chaos Union Machine
Chaos Union Machine combines the LIGHT and DARK requirements of Chaos Sorcerer with the offensive potential of the classic Union Machine monsters.
Unexpected Dai can place X-Head Cannon directly onto the field, while Shining Angel provides access to additional LIGHT monsters. Dekoichi, Breaker, Tribe-Infecting Virus and Blowback Dragon give the deck several ways to generate card advantage and remove opposing threats.
Dimension Fusion and Limiter Removal give the deck access to extremely explosive finishing turns. Royal Decree helps protect those pushes by shutting down opposing Trap Cards.
Main Deck — 40 Cards
2 Chaos Sorcerer
1 Jinzo
1 V-Tiger Jet
1 W-Wing Catapult
1 Heavy Mech Support Platform
1 Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast
Loaner Deck 2
🌊 Brain Fog
Brain Fog is a WATER tempo deck that uses aggressive monsters, battle tricks and control-changing effects to maintain pressure.
Warrior of Atlantis searches A Legendary Ocean, while Mother Grizzly can recruit important WATER monsters directly from the Deck. Hydrogeddon can quickly multiply after winning battles, and Abyss Soldier turns spare WATER monsters into reusable removal.
Brain Control can steal an opposing monster for an immediate attack or provide Tribute material. Fog King can then establish a large body while preventing either player from Tributing cards, creating an unusual control position that many decks are not prepared to face.
Main Deck — 40 Cards
3 Warrior of Atlantis
3 Hydrogeddon
3 Abyss Soldier
3 Mother Grizzly
2 Fog King
2 Mermaid Knight
1 Aqua Spirit
1 Giga Gagagigo
1 Shrink
3 Royal Decree
1 Rush Recklessly
1 Amphibious Bugroth MK-3
1 Star Boy
2 Soul Exchange
Loaner Deck 3
ðŸŠķ Harpies Fragrance
Harpies Fragrance attacks the opponent’s back row by combining Harpies’ Hunting Ground with Anti-Spell Fragrance.
Anti-Spell Fragrance forces Spell Cards to be Set before they can be activated. The deck can then summon Harpie monsters and use Harpies’ Hunting Ground to destroy those newly Set cards before the opponent gets a chance to use them.
Elegant Egotist, Unexpected Dai, Swallow’s Nest and Hysteric Party give the deck multiple ways to swarm the field. Shrink and Book of Moon help the smaller WIND monsters win battles, while Harpie Oracle can recycle important Harpie Spell and Trap Cards.
Main Deck — 40 Cards
3 Harpie Queen
2 Harpie Lady 1
1 Harpie Lady
2 Harpie Oracle
1 Harpie Lady Sisters
2 Sky Scout
1 Hunter Owl
Loaner Deck 4
ðŸĶļ HERO Fusion Decree
HERO Fusion Decree is a Fusion-focused strategy featuring the original Elemental HERO monsters and a large Extra Deck toolbox.
Elemental HERO Prisma can copy the name of a required Fusion Material, King of the Swamp can replace missing materials, and Elemental HERO Woodsman helps recover Polymerization. E - Emergency Call and Reinforcement of the Army improve access to the correct HERO for each situation.
Polymerization provides the traditional Fusion Summon route, while Miracle Fusion turns monsters in the Graveyard into additional threats. Royal Decree limits opposing Trap Cards and gives the deck a better opportunity to establish its Fusion Monsters safely.
Main Deck — 40 Cards
1 Elemental HERO Sparkman
1 Elemental HERO Clayman
2 Elemental HERO Burstinatrix
1 Elemental HERO Avian
1 Elemental HERO Bladedge
1 Elemental HERO Necroshade
NeoGoat World Cup 2026 — Day Two: France Takes the Crown
The NeoGoat World Cup returned to Card Point for Day Two, with only four countries still in contention: Spain, Norway, France and Switzerland. After ten teams and thirty players completed four rounds of Swiss, the tournament moved into its single-elimination playoff stage.
Under the World Cup team rules, Players A, B and C faced the same positions on the opposing team, and a country needed to win two of the three tables to advance. Shared card limits and each country's three Selection Cards continued to make every lineup feel different.
For the complete rules, team construction system and prize information, visit the original NeoGoat World Cup 2026 announcement. The Swiss-stage coverage and playoff field can be found in NeoGoat World Cup 2026 — Playoff Field Set.
Day Two at a Glance
Semifinal: Norway defeated Spain.
Final: France defeated Norway.
NeoGoat World Cup 2026 Champion: France.
Semifinal — Norway vs Spain
Both teams had reached the playoff stage with three sharply differentiated decks, but Norway found the two table wins it needed and advanced to the championship match.
Norway's lineup combined Rock Monarch control, Water Return and a Horus Dragon/Fusion strategy. Spain answered with Gadget and Wildheart pressure, Warrior Chaos control and an experimental Water/Plant build. The clash showed exactly what the shared-card system was designed to create: three very different games contributing to one team result.
Final — Norway vs France
The second featured video is the final between Norway and France. One of the most memorable details came from France's captain, Lauro, who brought in the one-copy Great Maju Garzett from his Side Deck as a surprise tech card.
France secured the championship when Norway's Player A and Player C lost their matches, giving France the two table victories required to take the round. After a full weekend of shared resources, unusual deckbuilding and simultaneous team play, France became the first NeoGoat World Cup champion.
Closing Thoughts
Day Two completed the story started during the Swiss rounds. Norway eliminated Spain and earned a place in the final, but France's combination of Burn, Earth Warrior/Fusion and Banisher-based pressure proved strong enough to win the title. Great Maju Garzett also gave the final a fitting NeoGoat moment: an unexpected card appearing on the biggest stage of the event.
Congratulations to France, and thank you to every team that represented a country in the first NeoGoat World Cup.
NeoGoat World Cup 2026 — Swiss Stage Decklist Showcase
Before the four playoff teams return for Day 2, it is time to give the rest of the Swiss field its own spotlight.
The first stage of the NeoGoat World Cup 2026 brought together 10 teams, 30 players and 18 different strategies across the six national lineups featured below. Their tournament run concluded after four competitive rounds, but their decks were a major part of what made the event so varied and entertaining.
The team format created a very different deckbuilding challenge. Card limits were shared among all three players, forcing every country to decide which deck received the most important staples, which strategies could function with fewer conventional resources and which three cards would be chosen as the team's Selection Cards.
The result was a field filled with control decks, aggressive builds, Burn, Monarchs, Gravekeepers, Zombies, Elemental HERO Fusions, Dinosaurs and Harpies.
England — Three Different Forms of Control
England used Sakuretsu Armor, Dust Tornado and Book of Moon as its Selection Cards and built three control decks with very different methods.
Bernardo played a patient Earth Flip strategy built around Giant Rat, Golem Sentry, Medusa Worm and Swarm of Locusts. Gaona chose a more direct Banisher and Monarch build, using Soul Exchange to convert opposing monsters into tribute material. Alex completed the lineup with Chaos Metamorphosis, combining Thunder Dragon, Night Assailant and discard traps with a large Fusion toolbox.
Argentina — Warrior Pressure, Necrovalley and Monarchs
Argentina's Selection Cards were Heavy Storm, Pot of Greed and Mirror Force. The lineup distributed those powerful staples across three decks designed to attack from different angles.
Ricardo Villalon used Warriors, combat tricks and Equip Spells to keep constant pressure on the opponent. Pepele relied on Necrovalley, Gravekeeper monsters and Rite of Spirit to establish a more restrictive game. Jinzo rounded out the team with Gadgets, Hydrogeddon and Monarchs, creating a steady stream of monsters and tribute opportunities.
Egypt — Hybrid Midrange and Metamorphosis
Egypt used Pot of Greed, Heavy Storm and Ring of Destruction as its Selection Cards. All three decks mixed several established NeoGoat engines rather than committing to only one archetype.
Ballesteros brought a defensive Metamorphosis toolbox supported by Fusilier Dragon, Gravekeeper's Spy, Hydrogeddon and several Monarchs.
A Swiss Field Worth Revisiting
These six teams gave the NeoGoat World Cup much of its personality. Even under shared card limits, they found room for eighteen distinct decks and several strategies that rarely appear together in a normal tournament.
England brought three different control philosophies. Morocco moved from Skill Drain Zombies to a fully dedicated HERO Fusion deck. Argentina balanced Warrior aggression with Gravekeeper and Monarch engines. Chile covered tempo, Burn and tribute control. Egypt relied on creative hybrid builds, while Mexico presented three of the tournament's strongest archetypal identities.
Spain, Norway, France and Switzerland will now return for the playoff stage, but the complete World Cup field was much larger than the final four. These lists show the amount of planning, experimentation and team coordination that went into the first stage of the event.
Next stop: the NeoGoat World Cup playoffs.
Shared Decklists of the Week: Elemental HERO Edition
This week’s shared decklists both feature Elemental HERO cards, but they approach the theme from completely different directions.
The first deck uses Elemental HERO Wildheart as part of a trap-resistant control strategy supported by FIRE monsters and disruptive cards. The second list fully commits to the classic HERO Fusion experience, combining the original Elemental HERO monsters with Polymerization, Miracle Fusion, and a large Fusion toolbox.
Wildfire HERO Control
This is not a traditional Fusion-heavy HERO deck. Instead, it uses Elemental HERO Wildheart alongside Tenkabito Shien to maintain attackers that are unaffected by Trap effects.
Bonfire gives the deck reliable access to Volcanic Slicer and Tenkabito Shien, while Giant Rat and UFO Turtle help maintain field presence. The recruiter package also works well with Creature Swap, allowing the deck to trade smaller monsters for more valuable opposing threats.
The Trap lineup is one of the deck’s most interesting features. Cards such as Needle Ceiling, Two-Pronged Attack, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, and Raigeki Break give the deck several ways to break established boards. Wildheart and Tenkabito can also survive effects such as Needle Ceiling, making some exchanges heavily favor this strategy.
Miracle Fusion provides the finishing power. With the current Main Deck, Elemental HERO Gaia and Elemental HERO Nova Master are the most accessible Fusion options.
HERO Fusion Heritage
The second list goes in the opposite direction and fully embraces the original Elemental HERO Fusion strategy.
Elemental HERO Prisma, King of the Swamp, and Elemental HERO Woodsman help assemble Fusion materials, while three copies of E - Emergency Call provide access to the HERO required for each situation. King of the Swamp can substitute for specifically named Fusion materials and also search Polymerization.
The deck has two different Fusion routes. Polymerization allows it to summon the classic named HERO Fusions, while Miracle Fusion converts monsters already used or destroyed into additional threats. Fifth Hope then recycles Elemental HERO monsters from the Graveyard and gives the deck another way to recover during longer games.
The two copies of Royal Decree are especially important. Rather than filling the deck with defensive Traps, this build attempts to shut down the opponent’s Trap lineup and create a safer opening for its Fusion Monsters.
This is the more dedicated and thematic of the two HERO decks. It may require more setup, but it also has access to a much wider Fusion toolbox and can produce some of the most recognizable monsters from the Elemental HERO lineup.
Two Different Ways to Play HERO
These lists show two very different ways to incorporate Elemental HERO cards into NeoGoat.
Wildfire HERO Control treats Wildheart and Miracle Fusion as parts of a broader control strategy, combining trap-resistant attackers with recruiters and destructive Trap Cards. HERO Fusion Heritage makes the archetype the center of the deck and attempts to access as many classic Fusion Monsters as possible.
One deck uses HERO cards as an engine. The other plays them as the complete strategy. Both are welcome additions to this week’s shared deck library.
