First Online Tournament - Duelingnexxus (Report)

The first NeoGoat online tournament hosted through DuelingNexus has officially begun, bringing a refreshing mix of decks, ideas, and creative approaches. This time, instead of uploading YouTube videos, we decided to share the direct DuelingNexus replay links, allowing players to watch each duel exactly as it happened on the platform, you can look at the Graveyard cards, Extra deck or even Deck remaining cards.

With Dragons, Warrior Earth, Zombies, Monarchs, Benkei/Mataza equips, and some truly experimental builds in the mix, the event is already shaping up to be an exciting showcase of the NeoGoat format.

Below is the complete recap of the first two Swiss rounds, along with all official replay links.

Round 1

Ventus vs Grondal2 – WIN: Grondal2

Ventus entered with his Dragon deck, but Grondal2’s solid Good Stuff strategy controlled the pace of both games and secured the match.

KrlosPollo vs Lorska – WIN: Lorska

Lorska, piloting Warrior Earth, managed to close the match after a long back-and-forth series.
KrlosPollo showcased another weird and experimental deck, keeping things unpredictable.

Totonatiuh vs Charly Max – WIN: Totonatiuh

Totonatiuh’s Benkei + Mataza + Equip OTK deck started the event explosively, overcoming Charly Max’s Zombie deck that bricked in the worst moment with tribute monsters.

Gaona vs GustavoChapa – WIN: GustavoChapa

GustavoChapa, also using Dragons, secured the victory against Gaona’s Monarch build after three very tight games. Gaona didn't considered inmunity of Horus to spells and destroying a Premature Burial was a wasteful play that cost the game.

Round 2

Ventus vs KrlosPollo – WIN: Ventus

Ventus bounced back this round, showing strong consistency with his Dragon deck, he won the third game with a Return from Different Dimension that allowed him to summon a King Dragun and a Five-Headed Dragon.

KrlosPollo continued experimenting with his unusual build.

Grondal2 vs Lorska – WIN: Grondal2

A clean and controlled performance from Grondal2 gives him another match win, making him one of the early leaders of the event.

Totonatiuh vs GustavoChapa – WIN: Totonatiuh

Totonatiuh’s equip-based OTK deck, he equipped his Elemental HERO - Wildheart with 5 Equip Spells including a Big Bang Shot and attacked a Sheep Token inflicting 8800 Battle Damage in one hit. He remains undefeated, taking down GustavoChapa’s Dragons and moving to 2–0.

Charly Max vs Gaona – WIN: Charly Max

In a clash between two players trying to recover from Round 1 losses, Charly Max’s Zombies overpowered Gaona’s Monarchs, securing his first match win of the event.

Round 3 (Final)

Table 1 — Grondal2 vs Totonatiuh

Winner: Grondal2

Grondal2 continues his undefeated run, piloting his trademark Good Stuff deck with extreme consistency. Totonatiuh opened strong in several sequences, but Grondal2’s resource management and removal toolkit gave him the edge throughout the match.

Table 2 — Ventus vs GustavoChapa

Winner: GustavoChapa

A full Dragon mirror match, and easily one of the wildest matches of the round.

Ventus exploded in Duel 1 with two Five-Headed Dragons, but despite the overwhelming board, GustavoChapa managed to outgrind and take the first game.
Ventus struck back in Duel 2 with strong pressure from Horus monsters.
The deciding Duel 3 turned when Heavy Storm wiped out four of Ventus’s backrow, completely reversing the tempo and giving GustavoChapa the win.

Winner: Lorska

Lorska secured a solid win with clean play and strong tempo control, capitalizing on every opening CharlyMax left on the board. A disciplined match from both players, but Lorska maintained the initiative all the way.

Table 4 — KrlosPollo vs Gaona

Winner: KrlosPollo

KrlosPollo came in swinging with an unexpected 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom, which wiped Gaona’s monsters multiple times and kept the field clear long enough to take control of the match. A very fun and very old-school win that felt straight out of early GX-era play.
