The NeoDraft Series is a brand-new competitive and casual twist for NeoGoat duelists — a mix of draft chaos, nostalgia, and strategic adaptation. Similar to Master Duel Dice Rally.
Each event features a surprise booster pack pool, ensuring that no two tournaments ever play the same. These are special events played montly.
๐ Before the Duel
Before the first turn, each player receives one random card from the event’s selected pack.
That card is immediately applied following the NeoDraft rules below.
A. Monsters
-
Normal, Effect, Ritual, or Fusion Monsters:
Are summoned freely to the field in Attack Position. Players can manually change their battle position during their turn.
Monsters are treated as properly summoned, meaning they can be revived later if the card allows it. -
Flip Effect Monsters:
Are added to the player’s hand. -
Spirit Monsters:
Are placed on the field but are not considered summoned that turn, so they do not return to the hand during the End Phase.
B. Spells
-
Normal, Quick-Play, Equip, or Ritual Spells:
Are added to the player’s hand. -
Continuous or Field Spells:
Are automatically activated on the field at the start of the duel. There may be exceptions, look at additional notes.
C. Traps
-
Normal and Counter Traps:
Are added to the player’s hand. -
Continuous Traps:
Are automatically activated on the field at the start of the duel. There may be exceptions, look at additional notes.
๐ Additional Notes
-
Randomly obtained cards have no summoning costs or requirements.
-
If a card depends on another card to function, that support card is automatically placed or considered active.
-
Examples:
-
Drawing Tornado Wall places Umi on the field.
-
Drawing a Toon monster places Toon World on the field.
-
Drawing Jam Defender may also place Revival Jam on your side at the start.
Each NeoDraft Edition will mention which cards of the set will be affected by this rule.
-
-
-
Cards with maintenance costs do not pay them during each player’s first turns. (Example: Mirror Wall, Messenger of Peace)
-
If a Continuous Spell or Trap cannot be activated at the start (e.g., Call of the Haunted with no valid targets), it instead goes to the player’s hand.
