NeoGoat at Plaza Garibaldi: Testing the August 2026 Format

The latest NeoGoat local tournament at Plaza Garibaldi gave players another opportunity to test new ideas under the August 2026 banlist.

This was a relaxed day of opening packs, adjusting decklists and playing matches while everyone continues exploring the new environment. With the format still developing, every tournament is helping players understand which strategies may become the strongest choices of the month.

Some players are beginning to lean toward Harpie decks, which can apply pressure while controlling opposing Spell and Trap Cards. Others continue working with Monarch strategies, a reliable option capable of generating value through Tribute Summons.

Of course, NeoGoat rarely settles around only two decks. The August card pool still leaves plenty of room for control decks, aggressive builds and unusual rogue strategies that may appear when nobody expects them.

Between online competitions and local events, NeoGoat is now approaching five tournaments every week. That constant activity gives players many opportunities to refine their decks, try new cards and share different interpretations of the format.

Plaza Garibaldi was another small but important part of that process. Harpies, Monarchs or something completely unexpected—the August 2026 format is only beginning to reveal what it can offer.
