The 5th NeoGoat Online Tournament officially started with the June 2026 format list in full effect.
Players immediately brought a mix of aggressive Warrior builds, Monarch control, HERO Fusion decks, Beast/Fusion experiments, and Thunder Dragon Chaos variants.
Round 1 already showed one important thing about the new format:
Even without Chaos Sorcerer, the format is still extremely explosive.
Several matches came down to precise resource exchanges, tech trap timings, and huge momentum swings instead of simple Chaos blowouts.
Some of the Round 1 videos will be shared separately.
⚔️ El Vic vs Carlos Linares
This match featured HERO Neos style aggression against anti-meta Warrior control.
Duel 1
El Vic opened very explosively:
- Prisma sending Necroshade
- E - Emergency Call for Neos
- Pot of Greed
- multiple traps set
But Carlos constantly answered every large threat with efficient removal:
- Smashing Ground
- Kycoo banishing HERO graveyard targets
- Blade Knight pressure
One important moment was Solemn Judgment negating Hydrogeddon, costing half of El Vic’s LP just to preserve tempo.
Later, Carlos slowly stabilized and Blade Knight eventually finished the duel.
Duel 2
Carlos completely dominated the early game.
Heavy Storm cleared the backrow before Banisher of the Radiance entered the field, creating a devastating anti-graveyard lock.
Don Zaloog repeatedly connected directly and discarded important resources from El Vic’s hand.
Shield Crush removing Spirit Reaper sealed the momentum completely.
Carlos Linares wins the match 2-0.
🦍 Perales vs Bernardo
One of the strangest matches of Round 1.
Perales brought a Beast/Fusion strategy using:
- Green Baboon
- Big Koala
- Des Kangaroo
- Master of Oz
- HERO Prisma
- Woodsman engine
Meanwhile Bernardo used a more traditional control shell with:
- Gravekeeper’s Spy
- Jinzo
- BLS
- Tribe-Infecting Virus
- Blade Knight
Duel 1
Perales repeatedly attempted to summon Master of Oz through Polymerization and Prisma setups.
Twice, Bottomless Trap Hole immediately answered the gigantic fusion monster.
Still, Green Baboon eventually appeared after Heavy Storm destroyed Call of the Haunted and triggered its revival condition.
The duel became a slow resource battle until Mirror Force wiped both Green Baboon and Elemental HERO Gaia.
Bernardo eventually stabilized behind Jinzo and Blade Knight pressure to take the first duel.
Duel 2
Perales managed an incredible early Master of Oz summon using:
- The Earth - Hex-Sealed Fusion
- Des Kangaroo
Master of Oz immediately attacked directly for 4200 damage.
But Bernardo recovered quickly through:
- Tribe-Infecting Virus
- Thunder Dragon setup
- Black Luster Soldier
Once BLS hit the field after Heavy Storm cleared Call of the Haunted, the duel ended rapidly.
Bernardo wins the match 2-0.
⚔️ Rojo vs Felipe Pinales
Only one duel log was available, but the match was won by Felipe.
The duel featured HERO Fusion strategies from Rojo against a Chaos-style control shell from Felipe.
Some important moments included:
- Prisma repeatedly sending Necroshade
- Creature Swap stealing Jinzo
- Wildedge attacking multiple monsters in one Battle Phase
- Raigeki Break removing Rivalry of Warlords
- Gravekeeper’s Spy defensive walls
- Book of Moon stopping Jinzo attacks
Rojo eventually pushed through with Elemental HERO Wildedge plus stolen Jinzo pressure to win the shown duel, but Felipe won the overall match in the unseen games.
🥊 Palacios vs Gaona
One of the longest and most technical matches of the round.
Palacios used a Warrior-style aggressive control deck featuring cards like:
- Goblin Attack Force
- Airknight Parshath
- Injection Fairy Lily
- Wildheart
- BLS
- heavy trap lineup
Meanwhile Gaona brought Monarch Control with:
- Thestalos
- Zaborg
- Soul Exchange
- Tribe-Infecting Virus
- Banisher of the Radiance
- Creature Swap
Duel 1
The duel immediately became a resource war.
Gaona opened with Nobleman of Crossout into Banisher of the Radiance, but Trap Hole instantly removed the Banisher before it could dominate the game.
Palacios pushed early pressure using:
- Elemental HERO Wildheart
- Goblin Attack Force
- Injection Fairy Lily
One of the biggest momentum swings happened when Gaona used Brain Control on Goblin Attack Force to tribute it for Thestalos, ripping D.D. Warrior Lady from Palacios’ hand and dealing burn damage at the same time.
But later, Injection Fairy Lily completely reversed the duel.
Lily defeated Thestalos in battle and later dealt massive direct damage under Swords of Revealing Light protection.
The duel eventually ended after Airknight Parshath generated too much advantage while Gaona could no longer stabilize through the trap lineup.
Duel 2
Gaona adapted well.
Soul Exchange + Monarchs repeatedly dismantled Palacios’ field, including a very important Thestalos discard hitting Black Luster Soldier directly from the hand.
But Palacios recovered the BLS using The Warrior Returning Alive and forced Gaona to spend Book of Moon plus Nobleman of Crossout to answer it.
The duel became extremely grindy after multiple Soul Exchange turns and Scapegoat stalls.
One of the funniest interactions came late in the game:
Gaona used Creature Swap to give away a Sheep Token and steal Spirit Reaper.
Eventually D.D. Assailant pressure plus repeated Monarch trades allowed Gaona to force the surrender and push the match into Duel 3.
Duel 3
The final duel was chaotic from the beginning.
Nobleman of Crossout immediately revealed almost both entire decklists due to Gravekeeper’s Spy.
Gaona attempted to slow the duel using:
- Level Limit - Area B
- Scapegoat
- Banisher
- Tribe-Infecting Virus
But Palacios broke through repeatedly with:
- Heavy Storm
- Injection Fairy Lily
- Premature Burial
- Goblin Attack Force
A key moment happened when Tribe-Infecting Virus wiped multiple Warriors at once after discarding Thestalos.
Still, Palacios recovered faster.
The duel ended with Magic Cylinder reflecting Mobius damage back to Gaona for lethal.
Palacios wins the match 2-1.
🌐 Early June 2026 Meta Impressions
After only one round, several things already stand out:
- Monarch decks remain extremely dangerous
- Warrior aggression is still one of the strongest foundations in the format
- HERO Fusion builds are appearing much more frequently
- Banisher of the Radiance is becoming one of the most important cards of the new list
- Fusion-focused rogue decks are getting real results
- Trap timing matters more than ever without Chaos Sorcerer dominating games instantly
- The unban of Magic Cylinder is already stealing games unexpectedly, punishing aggressive pushes and turning seemingly safe attacks into instant losses
The format already feels slower, more interactive, and more board-focused compared to previous Chaos-heavy environments.
