This week’s 18-player Neo GoatFormat event gave us a result nobody saw coming. While most of the room brought carefully tuned 40 card decks, the trophy went home with a duelist who piloted a 60-card Earth pile featuring Unexpected Dai, Insect Knight, and even Cyber-Stein, everyone thought it was a meme until it kept winning.
The Champion’s Build: Earth Goes Wide
• Unexpected Dai gave immediate access to Insect Knight, or Soul Tiger Earth monsters later on using them to summon Gigantes o The Rock Spirit.
- Cyber-Stein provided explosive “cheat-win” potential, stealing games by dropping Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon out of nowhere, there were Last Wills to summon it.
• Classic Goat tools (Scapegoat, Metamorphosis, Magician of Faith) ensured it could still play the long grind game.
