NeoGoat Deck Analysis: EARTH Aggro Control

This deck exemplifies the Earth Aggro Control archetype, built around Berserk Gorilla and Gigantes, two of the most efficient beaters available. With Giant Rat serving as both a recruiter and extender, the deck maintains momentum even after trading resources.

Unlike traditional Goat Control variants, this list focuses less on reactive play and more on maintaining constant board presence. Cards like Nimble Momonga and Injection Fairy Lily help swing tempo and life points, while Jinzo and Royal Decree lock out traps to allow your monsters to dominate the field.

Gaia Power further amplifies this plan — boosting your already strong Earth monsters to overwhelming levels, making even Momonga or Rat capable of trading up.

Key Cards and Synergies

  • Berserk Gorilla – The deck’s main attacker. At 2000 ATK (or 2500 under Gaia Power), Gorilla outs nearly every standard-level 4 monster in the format.

  • Giant Rat – Acts as a tutor for the entire deck. It enables plays with Exiled Force, Nimble Momonga, Injection Fairy Lily, and even Gigantes follow-ups.

  • Gigantes – A natural fit, easily summoned while also clearing backrow — ideal for pushing through control decks.

  • Royal Decree + Jinzo – A powerful anti-trap suite that shuts down the opponent’s defensive options. This combination is especially deadly when you’re ahead on board.

  • Last Will – Often enabled by Exiled Force, Rat, or Gigantes, it adds consistency and can instantly get you a D.D. Warrior Lady or Injection Fairy Lily.

Side Deck Plan

The side deck offers flexibility against the diverse NeoGoat metagame:

  • Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer and King Tiger Wanghu are excellent against Chaos and Recruiter-based decks.

  • Dark Driceratops helps bypass defensive setups.

  • Bottomless Trap Hole and Sakuretsu Armor can be swapped in when removing Royal Decree, against Zombie Aggro decks for example.

  • Extra removal like Shield Crush and Book of Moon against walls and flip-effect monsters

Main Deck:

1x Jinzo
3x Berserk Gorilla
2x Gigantes
1x D.D. Assailant
1x The Rock Spirit
1x Tribe-Infecting Virus
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior

1x Last Will
2x Smashing Ground
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Book of Moon

1x Snatch Steal
1x Premature Burial
1x Gaia Power

1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Ring of Destruction
2x Royal Decree
1x Call of the Haunted

Side Deck:
1x Dark Driceratops
2x Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
2x King Tiger Wanghu
1x D.D. Warrior
2x Shield Crush
1x Smashing Ground
2x Book of Moon
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Sakuretsu Armor

This Earth deck is straightforward and reliable. It hits hard, keeps pressure with steady field presence, and can handle many matchups thanks to its mix of power and control. In a format where Earth decks are already popular, this build shows how consistency and simple aggression can still go a long way.

NeoGoat Special Tournament: “Dark Quake”

Theme:

The tournament will focus on the confrontation between the forces of stability and mystery, represented by the Earth and Dark attributes. Duelists must choose a side and build strategies that highlight the strengths of these attributes.

Examples:

- Dark Magician - Amazoness - Ancient Gear - Fiends - Magnet Warriors - Red-Eyes - Beasts - Gravekeepers - Insect - or any deck that meets the following requirements...

General Tournament Rules

1. Attribute Selection:

Each player must choose whether to participate as an Earth or Dark Duelist.

Decks must include at least 7 monsters of the selected attribute in the Main Deck.

Monsters of the opposite attribute cannot be used.

2. Deck Construction:

Each player will select one monster of the chosen attribute with 1500 or less ATK to place in the Extra Deck. It must be the same all the tournament.

Once per Duel, during the Main Phase (except the first turn), the player may place that monster face-up on the field (it is not considered a Summon).

If that monster leaves the field, it is banished face-down (it cannot be recycled).

Examples:

3. Non-Tribute Summon:

Once per Duel, players can Normal Summon a Level 5 or higher monster of their chosen attribute without requiring a Tribute.

4. Special Abilities for each attribute

There are specific skills for each attribute; activating an Ability is considered the activation of a Normal Trap and can be linked to them.

• 🌍 Earth Attribute Skills

Duelists who choose this attribute highlight their resistance on the field. It will focus on monsters with good Attack or Defense and effects that ensure stability.

1. Rockfall

Activation: If your Earth monster battle with a monster that is not an Earth or Dark monster.

Effect: Once per battle, during damage calculation, you can send 3 cards from the top of your deck to the graveyard: your Earth monster gains 1000 ATK/DEF only during this damage calculation.

2. Earth Impact

Activation: Once per turn during the Battle Phase, if your opponent has more cards on the field than you: you can discard a spell from your hand to return a card from your opponent's field to their hand.

• 🌑 Skills for the Darkness Attribute

Mysterious and manipulative strength, the shadows invade the enemy field, spying and restricting your options.

1. Suspended in the void

Activation: If a Dark monster destroys a non-Earth or Dark monster by battle.

Effect: Randomly banish one card from your opponent's hand, the banished card returns to your opponent's hand during the End Phase of your next turn.

2. Dreadful Eyes

Once per turn during your Main Phase, you may pay 1200 Life Points: You may reveal up to two set cards on your opponent's side of the field. After this, your opponent may rearrange the revealed cards. Additionally, until the End Phase of the next turn, each time you would take battle damage or effect damage of 1600 or more, reduce the damage taken by 800.

Deck Showcase: Three Decks used in the last tournament with the new October 2025 banlist.

The very first Neo Goat tournament under the October 2025 banlist has just concluded, and it marked a historic change: Magician of Faith is finally forbidden. This single shift disrupted the old foundations of resource loops and forced duelists to reimagine their approach. Without Faith’s recycling power, decks had to find new engines, new win conditions, and new ways to pressure the opponent.

Tournament Results after Five Rounds

Here’s a showcase of three standout decks that were used in this tournament:

Warrior Toolbox Chaos (Guest 001)

Warriors have always thrived in formats where one-for-one trades define the tempo, and this build proved it still has fangs. The deck combined the Warrior search engine with Chaos Sorcerer, allowing it to pivot between precision removal and overwhelming pressure.

The lineup included all the staples of a toolbox strategy: Exiled Force for clean outs, Don Zaloog and Mataza the Zapper for hand disruption and aggression, and Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer to deny Chaos setups. Blade Knight in particular shined, applying fast damage while negating opposing flip effects.

What really elevated this build was its control-oriented backrow. With Solemn Judgment, Dust Tornado, Widespread Ruin, and Jar of Greed smoothing out hands, the deck balanced aggression with strong protection. Against Burn and rogue strategies, it could pivot into a patient grind game while still threatening sudden bursts of damage.

In short, it was the most “honest” deck of the event—no looping spells, no gimmicks, just efficient monsters backed by layered defense, thriving in the new meta’s focus on attrition.

Main Deck:

2x Chaos Sorcerer
1x Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke
2x Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
1x D.D. Assailant

2x Jar of Greed
2x Solemn Judgment
1x Magic Drain

Ameba Burn (Diego Barrera)

The rogue deck of the tournament, Ameba Water Burn weaponized an oft-forgotten monster in a way only Neo Goat could make viable.

This build combined Ameba with Mystic Box (OCG card) and Creature Swap to force it onto the opponent’s side of the field, dealing direct damage while setting up awkward board states. From there, it leaned on Water support like Warrior of Atlantis and A Legendary Ocean, while Catapult Turtle and Abyss Soldier offered creative finishers.

The decklist also revealed surprising depth:

  • Draw and Recovery: Salvage to recycle Water monsters.

  • Burn Finishers: Magic Cylinder, Ring of Destruction, and Catapult Turtle.

  • Lockdown Tools: Rivalry of Warlords to stall out opponents.

Against a Faith-less field, Ameba Burn thrived by forcing opponents into unfavorable exchanges and sneaking in chip damage until a burn effect closed the duel. It wasn’t just flashy—it proved rogue strategies can still compete when the meta resets. This deck got second place at the tournament.

Paladin of White Dragon Ritual Deck (Emiliano Rodriguez)

This deck turned heads as the surprise Ritual contender of the event. Built around Paladin of White Dragon, it used Advanced Ritual Art and an extensive search package (Manju, Senju, Sonic Bird) to ensure explosive openings.

Paladin’s ability to Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon gave the deck a good advantage, transforming what looked like a risky Ritual play into a momentum swing that many opponents couldn’t recover from. Backed up by Chaos Sorcerer and beaters like Mad Dog of Darkness, the deck had multiple ways to apply pressure even if the Ritual plan didn’t immediately resolve.

What made it truly successful was disruption from Raigeki Break and Compulsory Evacuation Device, combined with steady draw from Legacy of Yata-Garasu, meant it didn’t gas out after one Ritual summon.

Main Deck:

1x Blue-Eyes White Dragon
3x Mad Dog of Darkness
2x Chaos Sorcerer
1x Tribe-Infecting Virus
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
2x Senju of the Thousand Hands

3x Advanced Ritual Art
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Book of Moon
1x Snatch Steal
1x Fulfillment of the Contract
1x Premature Burial

2x Raigeki Break
3x Legacy of Yata-Garasu
1x Mirror Force
1x Dust Tornado
1x Ring of Destruction
2x Compulsory Evacuation Device
1x Call of the Haunted

This tournament was proof that Neo Goat is still evolving. With Magician of Faith gone, the format feels faster, sharper, and more diverse. The decks showcased here highlight three different paths forward: explosive Ritual summons, steady Warrior control, and creative rogue innovation.

If anything, this event showed that Neo Goat isn’t locked to its past—it’s a living format where new ideas can break through at any time.

Tournament Report September 30th, 2025

As the old format takes its final bow and the new banlist steps onto the stage, we hosted one last dance — a Transition Tournament where both banlists (August 2025 and October 2025) shook hands for one chaotic, experimental send-off.

This wasn’t just any tournament. It was a snapshot of a format in flux. The ghosts of the previous banlist lingered, but the winds of change were already blowing through the deck choices, card picks, and side strategies. Some players stuck with tried-and-true builds; others took the opportunity to push new ideas to the limit. Let's take a look at the highlights.

Zombies vs Earth 🏆

Neos Control vs Earth 🏆

Zombie vs Fairy Burn 🏆

Final: Earth 🏆 vs Fairy Burn

With the new banlist fully taking over now, the future of Neo Goat looks promising. New staples, old techs returning, and even more room for rogue brews.
