NeoGoat Tournament Report October 28th, 2025

Our latest NeoGoat tournament brought together 16 duelists in a four-round event filled with new deck experiments, and plenty of nostalgia. The champion of the day surprised everyone with a deck with no specific theme at all.

This winning build played like how Yu-Gi-Oh! was back in the day — a true mix of powerful standalone monsters, flexible spells, and clever traps. It didn’t rely on any singular engine or combo, just pure card knowledge and strong fundamentals, each draw mattered and every set card could turn the game around. Harpie’s once again soared into second place, proving that the archetype remains one of the most resilient forces in the Neo Goat format.

Dark Magician Deck vs Good Stuff deck πŸ†

Warrior vs Warrior πŸ†

Good Stuff Deck  πŸ† vs Earth Deck

Finals: Good Stuff Deck πŸ† vs Harpie's

The event ran smoothly across four competitive rounds, showcasing the diversity of NeoGoat’s current meta. While some players leaned toward refined strategies like Earth Aggro or Reasoning Gate variants, the “no-theme” champion reminded everyone that solid gameplay and good reads can still carry a duel in this format.

In the end, this event was a great reminder that NeoGoat isn’t just about optimizing lists — it’s also about embracing the creative freedom that made classic Yu-Gi-Oh! so memorable. Sometimes, the best deck is simply the one that plays everything you like and plays it well.

Dark Quake Tournament Report

The elemental clash finally took place! The Dark Quake Tournament gathered 14 duelists at Cartoncito Cards, divided between 8 who chose the shadows of Darkness and 6 who stood firm with the Earth’s stability.

Remember this tournament had special rules.

The event began in an unexpected way — during the first round, most Dark players were defeated, with only two managing to advance. From there, the shadows had to climb their way back through determination and careful play. In the end, only one Dark duelist reached the finals, facing a powerful Earth deck that had dominated all day.

Unfortunately, most match videos were lost due to recording errors, though one duel was saved, the third Round:

As for rewards, 36 Mega Pack 2025 bundles were distributed among the Dark players as part of their faction victory prize, and the top Dark and Earth duelists took home booster boxes and the title of Attribute Champion of the event.

Dark Quake Event Preview - Challenge the NeoGoat Expert

In preparation for the upcoming Earth vs Dark event: Dark Quake, players had a rare chance to face off against a NeoGoat Expert. The challenge was simple—but far from easy.

If you manage to defeat him, you'll win a FREE Stampede booster pack and if you lose you only get one six-sided die.

But beware… only he uses the special dynamics of the upcoming Dark Quake event that change the rules of the duel!

The Expert curated seven different decks, each representing distinct ideas. Some used the Earth's abilities, while others embodied the cunning disruption of Dark's abilities. Every duel was a test —since players never knew which deck they’d face and they only had one duel.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

We got the decklists, these are fun decks that make use of the OCG cards only available in Neo Goat's cardpool.

Each of these builds was selected to highlight a different strategic angle of the NeoGoat environment—some experimental, others battle-proven. Together, they formed a gauntlet worthy of the “Dark Quake” name. Decklist below.

Note: The Extra monster will appear as side deck.

Extra Monster Rule: The player will select one monster of the chosen attribute with 1500 or less ATK to place in the Extra Deck. It must be the same all the tournament. It can be moved to the field during the Main phase after Turn 3 (it’s not a summon) If that monster leaves the field, it is banished face-down (it cannot be recycled).

NeoGoat Tournament Report October14th, 2025

This week’s NeoGoat tournament had a solid turnout and plenty of creative deck choices, including one of the most unique builds we’ve seen in a while. Unfortunately, the video for the first round was lost due to a recording error, so the coverage starts from Round 2 onward.

Round 2: Zombie Fusion vs Chaos πŸ†

One player wanted to try this deck, he mixed old-school monsters like The Snake Hair and Dragon Zombie with modern tools such as The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion, King of the Swamp, and Unexpected Dai. This player is experimenting formulas for the incoming "Dark Quake" event where players must use Dark or Earth based decks.

However, the deck faced a common issue that plagues normal Fusion strategies in the old formats—they tend to consume too many cards from the hand, and after all that effort, the Fusion Monster itself can be removed with just a single card like Smashing Ground or Bottomless Trap Hole. Despite the flashy plays and creative concept, the deck managed to secure only one win during the event.

Round 3: Warrior πŸ† vs Thousand-Eyes Control

Round 4: Warrior πŸ† vs Chaos

NeoGoat Deck Analysis: EARTH Aggro Control

This deck exemplifies the Earth Aggro Control archetype, built around Berserk Gorilla and Gigantes, two of the most efficient beaters available. With Giant Rat serving as both a recruiter and extender, the deck maintains momentum even after trading resources.

Unlike traditional Goat Control variants, this list focuses less on reactive play and more on maintaining constant board presence. Cards like Nimble Momonga and Injection Fairy Lily help swing tempo and life points, while Jinzo and Royal Decree lock out traps to allow your monsters to dominate the field.

Gaia Power further amplifies this plan — boosting your already strong Earth monsters to overwhelming levels, making even Momonga or Rat capable of trading up.

Key Cards and Synergies

  • Berserk Gorilla – The deck’s main attacker. At 2000 ATK (or 2500 under Gaia Power), Gorilla outs nearly every standard-level 4 monster in the format.

  • Giant Rat – Acts as a tutor for the entire deck. It enables plays with Exiled Force, Nimble Momonga, Injection Fairy Lily, and even Gigantes follow-ups.

  • Gigantes – A natural fit, easily summoned while also clearing backrow — ideal for pushing through control decks.

  • Royal Decree + Jinzo – A powerful anti-trap suite that shuts down the opponent’s defensive options. This combination is especially deadly when you’re ahead on board.

  • Last Will – Often enabled by Exiled Force, Rat, or Gigantes, it adds consistency and can instantly get you a D.D. Warrior Lady or Injection Fairy Lily.

Side Deck Plan

The side deck offers flexibility against the diverse NeoGoat metagame:

  • Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer and King Tiger Wanghu are excellent against Chaos and Recruiter-based decks.

  • Dark Driceratops helps bypass defensive setups.

  • Bottomless Trap Hole and Sakuretsu Armor can be swapped in when removing Royal Decree, against Zombie Aggro decks for example.

  • Extra removal like Shield Crush and Book of Moon against walls and flip-effect monsters

Main Deck:

1x Jinzo
3x Berserk Gorilla
2x Gigantes
1x D.D. Assailant
1x The Rock Spirit
1x Tribe-Infecting Virus
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x D.D. Warrior Lady
2x Giant Rat
1x Exiled Force
1x Injection Fairy Lily
3x Nimble Momonga
1x Mystic Swordsman LV2
1x Morphing Jar

1x Heavy Storm
1x Reinforcement of the Army
1x Pot of Greed
2x Nobleman of Crossout
1x Last Will
2x Smashing Ground
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Book of Moon
1x Scapegoat
1x Snatch Steal
1x Premature Burial
1x Gaia Power

1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Ring of Destruction
2x Royal Decree
1x Call of the Haunted

Side Deck:
1x Dark Driceratops
2x Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
2x King Tiger Wanghu
1x D.D. Warrior
2x Shield Crush
1x Smashing Ground
2x Book of Moon
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Sakuretsu Armor

This Earth deck is straightforward and reliable. It hits hard, keeps pressure with steady field presence, and can handle many matchups thanks to its mix of power and control. In a format where Earth decks are already popular, this build shows how consistency and simple aggression can still go a long way.

Tournament Report October 10th, 2025 Cartoncito Cards

The latest NeoGoat event marked a major milestone: our first six-round tournament, the longest and most competitive so far! With a record number of duelists and a diverse mix of decks, this event truly tested endurance, consistency, and adaptability across every matchup.

Six rounds meant no easy wins — every duelist had to fight through a gauntlet of unique strategies. From fast Chaos variants to creative Control builds, there were interest decks never seen before, and even experimental tech choices, the meta showed how much NeoGoat continues to evolve with each event.

Round 1: Zombies vs Gadgets πŸ†

Round 2: Dark Magician vs Skill Drain Earth πŸ†

Round 3: Ameba Burn πŸ† vs Neos

Round 4: Ameba Burn vs Chaos Aggro πŸ†

Round 5: Earth vs Chaos Aggro πŸ†

Round 6: Chaos Aggro πŸ† vs Warrior deck

Traditional powerhouse archetypes held strong, but a few rogue decks managed to break through, showcasing the creativity that keeps NeoGoat fresh and unpredictable.

With six rounds now complete, the next step is refining the structure for even larger events — maybe a Top 8 playoff or a season leaderboard. As the format matures, every duel adds to our understanding of what makes NeoGoat both nostalgic and forward-looking.

NeoGoat Special Tournament: “Dark Quake”

Theme:

The tournament will focus on the confrontation between the forces of stability and mystery, represented by the Earth and Dark attributes. Duelists must choose a side and build strategies that highlight the strengths of these attributes.

Examples:

- Dark Magician - Amazoness - Ancient Gear - Fiends - Magnet Warriors - Red-Eyes - Beasts - Gravekeepers - Insect - or any deck that meets the following requirements...

General Tournament Rules

1. Attribute Selection:

Each player must choose whether to participate as an Earth or Dark Duelist.

Decks must include at least 7 monsters of the selected attribute in the Main Deck.

Monsters of the opposite attribute cannot be used.

2. Deck Construction:

Each player will select one monster of the chosen attribute with 1500 or less ATK to place in the Extra Deck. It must be the same all the tournament.

Once per Duel, during the Main Phase (except the first turn), the player may place that monster face-up on the field (it is not considered a Summon).

If that monster leaves the field, it is banished face-down (it cannot be recycled).

Examples:

3. Non-Tribute Summon:

Once per Duel, players can Normal Summon a Level 5 or higher monster of their chosen attribute without requiring a Tribute.

4. Special Abilities for each attribute

There are specific skills for each attribute; activating an Ability is considered the activation of a Normal Trap and can be linked to them.

• 🌍 Earth Attribute Skills

Duelists who choose this attribute highlight their resistance on the field. It will focus on monsters with good Attack or Defense and effects that ensure stability.

1. Rockfall

Activation: If your Earth monster battle with a monster that is not an Earth or Dark monster.

Effect: Once per battle, during damage calculation, you can send 3 cards from the top of your deck to the graveyard: your Earth monster gains 1000 ATK/DEF only during this damage calculation.

2. Earth Impact

Activation: Once per turn during the Battle Phase, if your opponent has more cards on the field than you: you can discard a spell from your hand to return a card from your opponent's field to their hand.

• πŸŒ‘ Skills for the Darkness Attribute

Mysterious and manipulative strength, the shadows invade the enemy field, spying and restricting your options.

1. Suspended in the void

Activation: If a Dark monster destroys a non-Earth or Dark monster by battle.

Effect: Randomly banish one card from your opponent's hand, the banished card returns to your opponent's hand during the End Phase of your next turn.

2. Dreadful Eyes

Once per turn during your Main Phase, you may pay 1200 Life Points: You may reveal up to two set cards on your opponent's side of the field. After this, your opponent may rearrange the revealed cards. Additionally, until the End Phase of the next turn, each time you would take battle damage or effect damage of 1600 or more, reduce the damage taken by 800.
